It was a real pleasure to take part in the conference organised by the Blockchain Student Association (BSA) of EPFL, dedicated to payments & stablecoins, as part of their conference and hackathon.
What stood out most was the level of engagement and curiosity from the students. Seeing such a strong interest for topics like blockchain, regulation and financial innovation — combined with a genuine willingness to understand, build and challenge existing frameworks — is always encouraging.
I had the opportunity to join the panel “Regulatory Landscape & Compliance”, alongside Juan Ignacio Ibanez (MiCA Crypto Alliance) and Trang Fernandez-Leenknecht (Holistik), moderated by Nicola Massella (STORM Partners). The discussion highlighted how regulatory frameworks continue to shape the evolution of digital assets, balancing innovation with necessary safeguards.
Beyond the panel, it was particularly interesting to hear the different perspectives shared throughout the event, reflecting the diversity and maturity of the ecosystem.
A sincere thank you to Elyes Ben Abid and Ahmed Chaouachi for the organisation, and to EPFL for supporting such initiatives.
